Turnout Remains Around 12% At Kildare Polling Stations

In Kildare North, a station in Celbridge recorded a turnout of 12.4%, while another in the town reported 10%.

Turnout figures remain low across several polling stations in Kildare this afternoon, with some locations reporting just 12% of voters casting their ballots for the Presidential Election by 12.30pm.

The more rural area of Prosperous saw a lower figure of 9%.

In Clane, turnout stood at 12%, matching the figure reported at a station in Confey, near Leixlip.

Further south, polling stations in Newbridge reported turnouts of 10% and 9%.

In Rathangan, 11% of voters had cast their ballots by midday, while a station in Kildare town recorded 10%.
