Treoir Calls For Reform Of Family Law & Redefinition Of The Family.

38% of babies are now born to parents who are not married and may not be cohabiting.

Treoir is calling for the implementation of reforms to family law.

The organisation, which supports parents not married to one another or who live apart, is highlighting inequalities between the married and unmarried family unit.

Treoir Information, Communications & Membership Officer, Sam Dunne, has been speaking to Kildare Today.

She says people who are co-parenting by not married or living together often aren't aware of their rights.

Sam Dunne joined Clem Ryan on Tuesday's edition of the programme.
