Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an attempted arson attack on a car in the Ballyroe area, just outside Athy, in the early hours of Monday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 1am when tissue was placed on a vehicle and set alight.

Speaking to Kfm, Garda Dave Prendergast said the vehicle’s owner managed to extinguish the flames before the fire could fully engulf the car.
Gardaí are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact Athy garda station.
