Nationally, 300,000 appointments were cancelled, with over 700,000 people on hospital waiting lists.
Almost 8,000 appointments were cancelled by Naas General hospital last year.
In 2023, the hospital cancelled 8,521 appointments.
Some of the reasons included bad weather, infection outbreaks, staff shortages or machinery not working.

Meanwhile, further figures supplied to Aontú also suggest that over 100,000 adverse incidents or mistakes were made in hospitals across the country last year.
469 of those incidents resulted in deaths, with 160 suspected of having died by suicide.
