The Turnout Among Young Irish Voters For This Week's General Election Is Set To Be Well Above The EU Average

The research carried out show's that the Leinster youth are leading the charge.

The turnout among young Irish voters for this week's general election is set to be well above the EU average, according to a survey.

54 per cent of people between 18 and 24 plan to vote, surpassing the average turnout of 36 per cent witnessed during the European elections.

Julie Blakeney, Managing Director at Jailbird Communications , who conducted the research, says the Leinster youth are leading the charge.
