9 more people became homeless in the county in the four weeks from March.

164 people in Kildare were homeless in April, an increase of 9 people in March

The Dept. of Housing says 158 people were homeless in Meath last month and 28 in Wicklow.

The three counties comprise the Mid East Region, where 55 families, and 131 children, were in emergency accommodation.

In all, 5,889 adults and 2,193 children were homeless last month.
