The figures come as the Housing Minister says he doesn't want to project when the government will end homelessness.
15,286 people - including 4,603 children - were registered as homeless in January.
It's an increase from December's total of 14,864.
154 adults were registered homeless in Kildare - an increase from 141 in December.
In Meath, 312 adults were homeless - an increase from 301.
In Wicklow, the figure stands at 70 - an increase from 69.
The figures come as the Housing Minister says he doesn't want to project when the government will end homelessness.
The official target in the last administration was to end homelessness by the year 2030.
However, Housing Minister James Browne says dates and projections won't eradicate it.
He said building more homes will, and that's the priority.
