In Kildare, prices in the first three months of 2024 were 6% higher than a year previously, compared to a rise of 3% seen a year ago.
The number of homes available to buy nationwide on March 1st stood at below 10,500 while prices continue to rise, according to the latest Daft.ie House Price report.
This is down 24% year-on-year and represents a new "all-time low".
House prices nationally have risen by almost 2 per cent in the first three months of the year.

The average price of a home in the county is now €343,000, 10% below its Celtic Tiger peak.
Prices in the capital were 3.2% higher (€437,125) in the first quarter of 2024 than a year previously.
Economist at Trinity College Dublin and author of the report Ronan Lyons says the biggest increases were seen in rural areas.
