Safe and accessible active travel can now be embraced
Yesterday TD James Lawless officially opened the Offaly section of the Grand Canal Greenway.
The Department of Transport invested approx. €9million in this section of the Greenway which includes 71km of safe, accessible active travel infrastructure.
TD James Lawless also launched the Father Russell Road Active Travel Scheme, which is a key link in Limerick City's cycle network, and includes new cycle tracks and improved footpaths, cycling and crossing facilities.
