Tánaiste Responds To Kildare TD's Claim Ireland Is Freeloading On Lebanon Evacuations

Michael Martin described comments by Kildare South TD Cathal Berry as disingenuous.

Efforts are continuing to 'de-escalate' tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.

The Iran-backed group launched hundreds of rockets and drones at Israel yesterday, while the Israeli military says it struck Lebanon with around 100 jets to ward off a greater attack.

Meanwhile, the Tanaiste has hit back at suggestions Ireland is freeloading on other states to evacuate Irish citizens from Lebanon.
