Monitor Met Éireann forecasts for your area, as well the Kildare County Council website
Keep your Eircode to hand in case of emergency
Motorists should check vehicle tyres and turn lights on
Do not drive through floods
Beware fallen tress and ESB lines down which are live wires
Stay away from rivers and lakes
For loss of power: have torches, lamps and advice is for LED candles, not lighted ones
Have your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) to hand when contacting ESB Networks. The MPRN starts with the digits 10 and is shown on the bill from your electricity supplier
Tie down any loose items in gardens.
Check in with isolated or vulnerable neighbours
