Speaking to Kfm yesterday, Amanda, owner of Flowerz, explained that the wreath, valued at €150 and requiring six hours to craft, was taken from outside the store.
Initially, she shared CCTV footage of the theft on social media, blurring the faces of the culprits to give them a chance to come forward.
When no one did, she published the unblurred images, which ultimately led to the wreath’s return.

“It’s a small victory for local businesses,” Amanda said. “Times are hard enough. Every tenner counts, and we can’t afford these losses.”
Amanda told us that the issue pointed to a bigger problem of theft at a time when businesses are already struggling to keep their doors open.
Over 94% of retailers have been impacted by shoplifting in the last year, a survey by Shelflife magazine found.
The survey also found that 89% of retailers say crimes involving their businesses have become more dangerous in the last year.
