Six Local Schools Chosen For Energy Efficiency Upgrades

Upgrades include heat pumps, LED lighting, ventilation systems, and EV charging points.

Six schools across the county will undergo energy retrofit works to reach a BER rating of at least B.

The schools are:

Killashee National School
Allen National School
Robertstown National School
Scoil Naisiunta Bhride, Clane
Kilberry National School
Kilmead National School

Upgrades include heat pumps, LED lighting, ventilation systems, and EV charging points.

Senator Fiona O'Loughlin said: "This is not only good for the environment but will also enhance the learning environments for students and working conditions for teachers and staff."

The six schools were part of the original assessment group, which also included:

Scoil Bhride, Milltown

Coláiste Lorcáin, Castledermot
