Local residents in Castledermot say a site notice has gone up in Ballyvass outlining plans for a biomethane plant.

It details proposals for a large anaerobic digestion facility.

The project has already sparked strong opposition.

The company insists that all environmental and planning considerations will be taken into account.

Sandra O’Dwyer, who lives near the proposed site, voiced her objections, highlighting the plant’s potential effects on road infrastructure, safety, and the local environment.

A spokesperson for the CycleO Group recently responded to a series of questions submitted by Kfm, which outlined their response to concerns raised by locals.
