Nationally, over 2,700 new cars were bought last month
There's been a surge in new car registrations in Kildare.
The Society of the Irish Motor Industry reports that 2,698 new cars have been registered in the county so far this year.
That's a 13% increase on the same period in 2020.
Nationally, over 2,700 new cars were bought last month, compared with just over 1,000 last year.
It's also a large increase on pre-pandemic numbers, as about 1,400 new cars were registered in June 2019.
