Rural Regeneration: Funding Injection For Monasterevan, Kilcullen, And Ballymore Eustace

The Town Team Support Fund, a first of its kind initiative, targets towns without previous Town Teams or those that have recently established them.

Additional funding of €30,000 has been allocated to three South Kildare towns under the Town Centre First Town Team Support Fund.

The allocation, with €10,000 designated for each town - Monasterevin, Kilcullen, and Ballymore Eustace - is intended to assist in establishing or developing Town Teams in these areas, as part of efforts to revitalise town centres.

The Town Team Support Fund, a first of its kind initiative, targets towns without previous Town Teams or those that have recently established them.

This funding aims to aid town regeneration officers of Kildare County Council in understanding the unique characteristics of each town.

It follows a prior allocation for Castledermot.

Highlighting the significance of the Town Teams project, it aims to address vacancy, dereliction, and revitalise town centres.

The support provided is expected to contribute to rural regeneration, emphasising the importance of vibrant towns conducive to living, working, visiting, and raising families.
