The road will be closed periodically over the next few weeks
The road between Brannockstown to Ballymore Eustace will be closed periodically over the next number of weeks, including today, as roadworks are being carried out.
The road is being resurfaced and diversions are in place.
Kildare County Council says the works will be carried out up until the 17th of May, with emergency and local access being maintained.
Alternative routes are outlined below.
Eastbound traffic in Brannockstown Village head northbound on the R412 to Carnalway Cross. Turn right heading eastbound on the L6074 continuing east along the L6074 before turning left onto the L6047 to Ballymore Eustace Village. In Ballymore Eustace Village at the junction of the L6047 / R411, turn right heading southbound on the R411 into the Market Square. At Market Square turn right staying on the R411 heading in a southbound direction towards the junction of the R411 / R413 at Broadleas Common, where the diversion ends.
Westbound traffic at Broadleas Common at the junction of the R411 / R413 travel on the R411 towards Ballymore Eustace Village, at the junction of the R411 / L2024 turn left and travel into Ballymore Village on the R411 into Market Square. At Market Square turn left staying on the R411 for 0.4km and at the junction of the R411 / L6047 turning left onto the L6047, continuing west along the L6047 before turning right onto the L6074 and travel westbound to Carnalway Cross. At Carnalway Cross turn left on to the R412 heading in a southbound direction towards Brannockstown Village at the junction of the R412 / R413 Brannockstown Village, where the diversion ends.
