The project secured €200,000 in funding from the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
The public consultation process, managed by Kildare County Council, will help to inform the final design for public realm improvements to the square.
Kildare South Fine Gael TD and Minister for State, Martin Heydon, says “Congratulations to Kilcullen Community Action and the Public Realm team in Kildare County Council for their commitment to delivering this project for Kilcullen. It will be great to see the opportunities that this development will bring to the town of Kilcullen and it is a real benefit for any town to have a central location where people can meet and the Square in Kilcullen lends itself perfectly to this use” concluded Minister Heydon.
