The Irish Independent reports that Patricia Kelly, the wife of the late Console founder Paul Kelly, has pleaded guilty to a single charge in the fraud case brought against her by the Corporate Enforcement Agency.
Ms Kelly, with an address at Alexandra Manor in Clane, had been due to go on trial next month at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on charges relating to her involvement in the operation of the suicide bereavement charity.
Console collapsed into liquidation in 2016 following revelations of significant financial mismanagement and extravagant spending.
Today, it emerged that Ms Kelly wished to plead guilty to a single count relating to her involvement in the accounting of the charity, according to the Irish Independent.
She pleaded guilty to failing to keep accounts that correctly recorded and explained the transactions of the charity between December 6, 2006 and May 31, 2015.
She will be sentenced at a later date.
