It is advocating for a Family Law Service Model

Children’s rights should guide family law reform, according to One Family.

It has hosted a webinar on building a family law system for children, at which experts from Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK contributed.

The organisation is advocating for a Family Law Service Model to be developed alongside the new legislation to provide assessments, safety and family supports to families before and during court.

Karen Kiernan is Chief Executive of One Family of the National One Parent Family Alliance.

Speaking to Kildare Today, she says Ireland lags far behind its nearest neighbour.
