Oireachtas Committee Calls For Creation Of 24/7 Emergency Mental Health Service.

Its among 10 recommendations by the Sub-Committee on Mental Health.

The government is being urged to consider additional measures to tackle addiction.

That's one of the recommendations made in a report on the impact of the Covid pandemic on mental health services.

It was published by an Oireachtas Sub-Committee and calls for the establishment of a 24/7 emergency mental health service and free counselling for all.

Independent Senator Frances Black chairs the committee.

She joined Clem Ryan on Thursday's edition of Kildare Today.
