No Objection From KCC For Playground In Naas Town But Work On Monread & Ballymore Playgrounds To Be Prioritised

Independent Cllr. Bill Clear raised the issue at the recent Naas MD meeting

Kildare County Council says there is no objection in principle to providing a natural play area on the Fairgreen in Naas.

However, it did say that it would need to be considered as part of an overall plan for the space and intended future uses of it.

It comes after Independent Cllr. Bill Clear called on the Council to explore the feasibility of installing a playground in the area, given the lack of such in the centre of the town.

The Council also stated that any work required will have to be considered for a future works programme as it has already set out a works programme for the year.

Commitments have already been made to progress a playground in Ballymore Eustace and upgrade the current playground in Monread and the Council says these works will take precedence to the proposal for the Fairgreen.
