Between 2018 & 2020 Co. Kildare had a 19% conviction rate
One in four people brought to court for driving while using their mobile phones are being convicted.
Co. Kildare has the highest number of prosecutions outside the four major cities.
It was recorded that 835 people in the county were brought before the courts between 2018 & 2020.
Co. Kildare had a 19% conviction rate for the 3 year period.
However, the Kildare conviction figure for 2020 was 0.
Out of 167 people before the courts, no one was prosecuted.
