New W6 Timetable Launches Today After Months Of Commuter Complaints

The updated timetable follows direct engagement between Go-Ahead, the Department of Transport and local representatives.

A new W6 timetable comes into effect today.

Go-Ahead has published the updated schedule following months of complaints from commuters in Maynooth, Celbridge and across North Kildare about cancellations and unreliable evening services.

While the changes have been welcomed, there’s a warning that the real test will be delivery with a renewed push for accountability and for passengers to continue reporting any no-shows or service failures.

Fianna Fail Kildare North TD Naoise Ó Cearúil welcomed the updated schedule, but stressed that locals want a bus that "arrives when it’s supposed to" and not "ghost buses".

He said timetable is only "useful if it’s delivered in reality."
