New Speed Limits Come Into Effect Tomorrow On Local Roads In Rural Areas

More speed limit reductions will then take place later this year on secondary roads and in built up areas.

Speed limits on local roads in rural areas will decrease from tomorrow.

They'll reduce from 80 to 60km per hour as part of a campaign to improve road safety.

Speaking on Kildare Today, Leo Lieghio from Baltinglass, whose daughter Marsia was knocked down in 2005, has welcomed the changes.
