Patients advised to only attend hospital EDs in cases of emergency
Naas General Hospital & Tallaght University Hospital are experiencing a "very high level" of presentations at their emergency department, and is asking patients to consider other options.
Both hospitals are committed to treating everyone who appears at the A&E - but those with less urgent issues will have a longer wait for care.
Both healthcare services regret delays, and have asked people with non-emergency issues to seek medical care from their local pharmacist or GP.
If attending either hospital's ED in the event of emergency:
· ensure you wear a mask
· practice social distancing and
· ensure you tell the triage personnel if you have any signs/symptoms of Covid-19
