The service would stop in Naas, Sallins, Johnstown and Kill
A Councillor on the Naas Municipal District has called for a town link bus service to serve Naas, Sallins, Kill and Johnstown.
Speaking to Kfm, Cllr Bill Clear towns with smaller populations than Naas, such as Carlow, Sligo and Wexford have town link services.
He questioned the criteria that is required by the National Transport Authority.
Cllr Clear was adamant that he would continue to campaign for this "vital service."
"I'm very frustrated by this because, we had the NTA into us. That was the first thing I asked for you know, I felt we met the criteria.
"They said they'd look at. But then they got back to us and said no," he explained.
"It's very frustrating, they keep telling us that we have to do active travel and public transport.
"The public transport and the town bus scheme, [there's] no sign of it.
"You could use the same [idea] for Maynooth, Celbridge and Leixlip," he added.
