Gardaí are pursuing a group of assailants who allegedly attacked Irish jockeys Jack Kennedy and Sam Ewing in Naas at around 3am last Monday morning.

The attackers, according to the Irish Mirror, made derogatory remarks about their performances at the festival, despite both securing victories. The jockeys sustained minor injuries after they were repeatedly punched and kicked
Gardai are investigating the incident which is understood to have occurred along South Main Street in Naas.
No arrests have been made yet.
Kennedy rode Teahupoo to victory in the Stayers’ Hurdle, while Ewing won on Stellar Story in the Albert Bartlett Hurdle.
In a statement to Kfm, a garda spokesperson said: Gardaí at Naas received a report of an alleged assault incident that occurred at approximately 3:15 am on Monday, 18th of March 2024, on South Main Street in Naas, Co. Kildare."
They added: "Two males, aged in their 20s, were injured during the incident. No arrests have been made at this time, and inquiries are ongoing. For guidance only, both individuals were advised to seek medical assessment."
