Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Fontstown Cross Collision

Diversions are in place on the R418

A man in his 20s is in a critical condition following a serious road traffic collision between Athy and Kilcullen last night.

The incident, which occurred shortly after 9:20pm at Fontstown Cross involved a car and motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was seriously injured and removed from the scene by ambulance to Tallaght University Hospital.

The occupants of the car were unharmed.

A full examination of the crash site is being conducted and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnessess
