More Voters Turning Out In Kildare North Than In The South Of The County

Polling stations close at 10pm.

With just one hour to go before polling stations close, turnout across Kildare is showing a clear divide this evening based on the latest polling figures — with stronger voting in the north of the county.

Over 40 percent of voters had cast their ballots at one station in Naas, with 33 percent in Kilcock and 32 percent in Celbridge.

Elsewhere in Kildare North, turnout stood at 29 percent in Maynooth and 28 percent in another Kilcock station, while Prosperous reported a slower pace at 23 percent.

In Kildare South, Kilcullen and Athy both saw 29 percent, with Newbridge ranging between 24 and 26 percent, and Kildare town and Rathangan each recording around a quarter of voters turning out by early evening.
