Mental Health Service Reports 20% Increase In People Experiencing Difficulties During The Pandemic.

These services are being provided in the midst of staff recruitment difficulties.

There was an increase of up to 20% in the number of people reporting experience of mental health challenges since the beginning of the pandemic.

That's according to St. Patrick's Mental Health Services.

It provides community and outpatient care through in its Dean Clinics, day & in patient services, homecare and remote supports.

These services are being provided in the midst of staff recruitment difficulties.

Paul Gilligan is CEO of St. Patrick's Mental Health Services.

He joined Clem Ryan on Tuesday's edition of Kildare Today.

The service has also launched a four-week programme of wellbeing events called the 'Walk in My Shoes' campaign.
