The University recently hired a well-known UK firm to carry out an investigation into bullying.
Specialists in workplace bullying were brought in to carry out a three-month investigation into staff at Maynooth University.
The inquiry - conducted by a well-known UK firm - revealed that most of those affected by the intimidating behaviour were "mainly female", according to the Irish Independent.
Maynooth University allocated nearly €11,000 for the investigation but has not disclosed its findings regarding a specific department within the institution.
It's understood that the investigation was an assessment of the overall culture in the department, rather than into a specific complaint.
Over the past five years, the university has spent more than €300,000 addressing staff complaints related to bullying and harassment.
This expenditure covers eight formal complaints filed between 2019 and 2022, including €121,000 used for case settlements.
