Maynooth University Among Beneficiaries Of €5 Million Mental Health Support Funding For Students

Maynooth University will receive €281,478 as part of the 2023 allocation.

Minister Simon Harris TD has announced €5 million in mental health support for third-level students.

The funding allows universities, including Maynooth, to enhance mental health services, recruiting essential staff like clinical case managers and mental health nurses.

Maynooth University will receive €281,478 as part of the 2023 allocation.

The allocation breakdown includes funds for national projects, a 24/7 peer service, a national office for Psychological Counsellors, and a research network focused on suicide and self-harm.
