Work begins this week on the eastern side of Mill Street, with phased construction set to continue over the next 12 months.
Kildare County Council has kicked off a major upgrade by awarding the Mill Street Active Travel Contract to Glas Civil Engineering.
The upgrades promise safer, more accessible streets with improved pedestrian and cycle facilities, upgraded crossings, enhanced bus stops, and a new pedestrian footbridge over the River Lyreen.
