A man is fighting for life in hospital after being hit by a car in West Dublin.
It followed a gun attack in the Jobstown area yesterday evening.
Two separate crime scenes are now being examined.
Yesterday evening at around 5pm, Gardaí and Emergency services were notified of an incident at house in the Kiltalown area of Jobstown.
It was there, they discovered a man in his 30s with serious injuries, who was after being hit by a car.
A number of gunshots were also fired at the house during the course of this incident.
The injured man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment,
His condition is described as being critical, but stable.
A second man in his 20s was also injured in the incident.
He's being treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Later that evening, a car was discovered on fire on the Mount Seskin Road.
Gardaí say no arrests have been made to date, but investigations are ongoing
