Ryan, who was from Connagh Green, Kildare Town, and formerly of Mulhuddart and Blanchardstown, passed away at Naas General Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Kildare Town remains in mourning following the death of Ryan Weir Gibbons, the young man who died after being seriously assaulted in the town last weekend.
Ryan’s funeral will take place on Friday morning at 11 o’clock in St Brigid’s Parish Church, Kildare Town, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium in Dublin.
He is reposing at McWey’s Funeral Home in Kildare Town this Thursday from 2 to 7 pm, with prayers that evening.

He is survived by his parents Elaine and Edward, brother Andrew and his partner Habiba, sister Nicole and her partner Jordan, nieces Lottie and Sadie, grandparents John and Betty, aunts, uncles, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.
He is pre-deceased by his sister Katie and his grandparents Edward and Sally.
It is understood that Ryan had been out socialising when an altercation began on a bus and later continued at Magee Terrace, near the Garda Station.
He suffered serious head injuries.
Locals have described Ryan as a gentle soul with a big friendly smile and a true gentleman.
Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses, particularly anyone who was in the Magee Terrace area between 2 and 4 am on Sunday morning, to contact Kildare Garda Station on 045 527730, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda station.
