Long-Awaited Naas Shopping Centre Faces Delay, Anchor Tenant Yet to Sign

The ATM is open from today.

The long-awaited Naas shopping centre won't open until July.

The developer of the new store, Ger Roche, said they are still waiting on a crucial anchor tenant.

Lidl are keen but are waiting approval from Germany.

Roche said the shopping centre will have 250 car park spaces, with over 30 retailers ready to sign up.

He said local doctors have also expressed interest in establishing clinics on-site.

"As soon as the anchor tenant signs, we are ready to rock," Roche said.

The ATM is open from today.

It was hoped that the centre, with its impressive new triple archway entrance through the old Bank of Ireland annex, would have been open in time for Punchestown.
