The full W6 route has been delayed due to works to widen the Hazelhatch Bridge
The full W6 bus route that connects Kildare and West Dublin is to be launched next month.
The route connects Maynooth, Celbridge, Newcastle and Tallaght.
Works to widen the Hazelhatch Bridge in Celbridge have been the cause of the delay for the full W6 route to be in operation, and Go Ahead Ireland has temporarily operated the route as the W61 and W62 since summer 2023.
In a social media post, Fine Gael TD Emer Higgins said, "the full W6 route is expected to be operational by the end of November 2024, pending a few final safety checks".
