Locals Urged To Switch Providers As Broadband, TV And Mobile Costs To Surge Next Month

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission says while it doesn't think price signalling is happening, it is concerned about mid-contract changes.

Broadband, TV and mobile costs are set to surge, with local households being encouraged to switch service providers.

Price comparison website, Bonkers.ie, claims telecom companies are "price signalling", with several providers like Sky and Three bumping up fees from the 1st of April.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission says while it doesn't think price signalling is happening, it is concerned about mid-contract changes.

Meanwhile, Labour Finance Spokesperson, Ged Nash, said adopting the UK government's action to ban automatic increases on telecom bills could help consumers here.
