As of Tuesday morning €7000 has been raised for Kildare GAA.
Kildare GAA have launched a fundraising campaign, "Line out with the Lilywhites."
The lenten challenge begins tomorrow on the first day of lent.
It is asking Kildare people and supporters to undertake a campaign to walk 100km
People go online and commit to walking 100km over lent, it's about two and a half kilometres a day.
You can go online and make a donation or you can register as a fundraiser.
Big Kildare names such as Christy Moore and Ruby Walsh have already signed up.
"We have listened long and hard about the shortage of money," said Dermot Reilly the fundraising organiser.
The money is for the footballers, the hurlers and the whole GAA community.
The aim is to raise €100,000 for Kildare GAA.
