
He said for the "avoidance of any doubt" there is "no intention" to introduce the charges, despite it being mentioned in a "Ministerial Brief".
"Let me be clear, this Government will not be introducing water charges."
That's according to Tanaiste Simon Harris.
Speaking on Kildare Today, he said a Ministerial Brief highlights issues that should be brought to the Minister's attention.

He believes Housing Minister James Browne could not "have acted more quickly" in making that point yesterday.
