Ballymore Eustace , Celbridge , Newbridge and Straffan received silver medals.
Bronze medals were awarded to Rathangan and Clane.
Trim in Co Meath has been named the overall winner of the 2022 Tidy Towns competition.
It was also named Tidiest Large Town at a ceremony in Dublin this afternoon.
Clonakilty in west Cork was named Tidiest Small Town, while Rosscarbery in west Cork was awarded the Tidiest Village award.
Ennis in Co Clare was recognised as the Tidiest Large Urban Centre.
€1.4-million euro of funding has been announced for 930 Tidy Towns volunteer groups around the country.
Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, says the additional funding will have a huge impact across towns and villages:
