Kildare's New Car Market Grows Despite National Downturn, EV Registrations Show Smaller Decline

Nationally, electric vehicle (EV) registrations dropped by 39.1% in May 2024.

Despite a national decline in new car registrations, Kildare has seen a 7.55% increase in new car registrations from January to May 2024, with 3,361 new cars registered compared to 3,125 in the same period in 2023.

In Kildare, the decline was less severe at 19.03%, with 570 new EVs registered so far this year, down from 704 during the same period in 2023.
