Kildare North TD James Lawless Doesn't Believe Kildare's Power Outages As Bad As West Of Ireland

Hundreds of locals are still without electricity and water since last Friday.

Around 142 thousand homes, farms and businesses are still without power following Storm Éowyn, while Uisce Eireann says over 6,000 premises still have no water supply.

Hundreds of locals are still without electricity and water since last Friday.

143 hubs that provide electricity and hot water have been set up across the country, however none have been set up in Kildare.

Local GAA clubs have had to open their doors to the public.

On this morning's Kildare Today programme, Fianna Fáil TD for Kildare North and Minister for Further and Higher Education James Lawless says he is unaware that Kildare has been affected as bad as other counties, which is why there have been no hubs here:
