Kildare Motorists Facing Higher Prices At The Pumps

Government expected to reverse excise duty cuts.

Kildare motorists could be paying higher prices for fuel from Tuesday.

The Government is expected to reverse the current cuts in excise duty on petrol and diesel, in line with updated cost of living measures.

Fuels for Ireland CEO Kevin McPartlan has been examining what effect that will have on the average-sized family car:


Transport Commentator Conor Faughnan says the removal of reduced excise duty on fuel will trigger a return to 'enormously' high tariffs'.
