Kildare Holiday Makers Urged To Check MMR Vaccine Status

Kildare holiday-makers are being urged to check their MMR vaccine status before traveling in the coming weeks or months.

This is due to the increased risk of measles.

Numerous European countries are reporting new Measles cases every week.

There have been 5 cases of Measles in Ireland already this year and there were 56 new cases across the UK in the first two weeks of February.

Any child aged 12-months and older who hasn't received two doses, should get both before they travel to an area where there is an outbreak.
