The figures cover all emergency calls linked to domestic violence or abuse - including breaches of barring orders, safety, protection and emergency barring orders, incidents of coercive control, and cases flagged with a domestic abuse motive.

New Garda Pulse figures show a significant jump in domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence calls in the Kildare-Carlow division.

3,185 calls were logged in 2022.

3,424 in 2023.

And 4,166 last year – an increase of more than 30 percent in two years.

The figures cover all emergency calls linked to domestic violence or abuse - including breaches of barring orders, safety, protection and emergency barring orders, incidents of coercive control, and cases flagged with a domestic abuse motive.

They also count calls where Gardaí responded to a domestic incident but no offence was ultimately recorded.

All figures are based on operational data taken from PULSE on the 27/08/2025.
