The closure is expected to last for a duration of 12 weeks.
Kildare County Council has announced the closure of a road to facilitate restoration works at the Shackleton Museum.
The closure is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 6, 2024.
The affected road is the R417 (Offaly Street), from its junction with Emily Square to Meeting Lane.
The closure is expected to last for a duration of 12 weeks.
During this period, an alternative route via Church Road will be available for motorists.
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, in coordination with both the Council and An Garda Síochána.
Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Individuals with objections or observations regarding the closure are invited to submit them in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport Mobility and Open Spaces Department, Kildare County Council, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare.
Alternatively, objections can be lodged directly on the consultation portal at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/en. The deadline for submissions is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
