A Soup Kitchen in Dublin, run by a Kildare woman, is appealing to the HSE not to shut down its operation for breaching food safety regulations.

Volunteer Soup Runs says health and safety inspectors recently showed up when it was giving free meals to the homeless.

Inspectors sent a letter to the group to say they were in breach of a number of food safety regulations and will face further inspections.
