Here's Where Your Real Christmas Trees Can Be Recycled In The New Year

The service will be available free of charge from January 3rd 2025

In the New Year, Kildare County Council is providing a free service to the public where they can bring their real Christmas trees to be recycled in a sustainable way.

In total, there are 7 sites across the county where this service is provided.

The sites are as follows:

  • Meeting Lane Carpark, Athy
  • Celbridge Interchange County Yard
  • Clane GAA Club
  • Fairgreen in Naas
  • Lidl Distribution Centre in Newbridge
  • Maynooth Council Depot beside the Fire Station
  • Moore Abbey Coillte Carpark in Monasterevin

The Christmas trees are shredded, and the mulched trees are made available to be used on local landscaping projects.

The sites are open from Friday the 3rd to Monday the 20th of January 2025.
